Engineering

The Campus Technology Hub has spaces tailored for start-ups and SMEs conducting research and development in engineering and new technologies.

Including light assembly areas and larger workshop spaces, these facilities are purpose built to support companies in research and development in dry lab disciplines such as robotics, mechanical engineering, electrotechnology and electronics development. The workshop spaces are equipped with roller shutter doors, or double door access for easy equipment movement.

STFC offers state of the art facilities and support to grow and scale a business effectively. Recognising the challenges that companies may face growing from a start-up to a small to medium enterprise, our infrastructure enables companies to reduce the risks associated with the upfront capital expenditure. Our scale-up laboratories give companies the opportunity to expand sustainably while maintaining efficient costs.

The ESA Phi-Lab UK provides the funding and support to enable the commercialisation of innovative technologies that promote space sustainability and sustainability on earth.  Access support from world-leading technical and scientific expertise to business coaching and commercialisation.

Sci-Tech Daresbury Campus

Larger spaces are available to rent on campus through our joint venture company, Sci-Tech Daresbury.

Sci-Tech Daresbury offers space to rent within its multi-occupied buildings, showcasing high-quality offices, lab space, and workshops.

At Sci-Tech Daresbury, more than 160 start-ups, scale-ups and global giants are working side-by-side and together with some of the brightest minds in science at STFC’s Daresbury Laboratory.
